Terms of Use
Effective date: 1 August 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Getor Solutions Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 14135913), registered office 5th Floor Ashford Commercial Quarter, 1 Dover Place, Ashford, Kent, England, TN23 1FB ("we", "us"). They cover the Talkspring iOS app and the talkspring.app website.
By using Talkspring you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
Who can use Talkspring
You must be at least 13. If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission to subscribe.
Your licence
We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use Talkspring on Apple devices you own or control, as Apple's App Store Usage Rules allow. The app, its scoring, its character, and its content are ours or our licensors'; these terms transfer no ownership to you.
Subscription and billing
Talkspring is a paid subscription, billed by Apple through your Apple ID. The price is the one displayed in the App Store at the point of purchase.
Plainly, so there are no surprises:
- If your plan starts with a free trial, the trial's length and the exact date you'll first be charged are shown before you start it.
- Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- Cancel any time in your Apple ID subscription settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions), or from the subscription row inside the app, which takes you to the same place. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the current period ends.
- Deleting the app, or deleting your account, does not cancel your subscription. Only cancelling through Apple does.
- All billing is handled by Apple. Refunds are available only through Apple's own process, at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds directly.
- If prices change, the change applies from your next renewal, and Apple will notify you before you're charged.
Your recordings and scores
How your data is handled - including our promise that audio is never stored and your words never leave your phone - is in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. Two points belong here because they shape what you're agreeing to:
- Scores are permanent. A score is a measurement, not a draft: individual recordings' scores, streaks, and XP cannot be edited or deleted. Your Speech Profile is kept for the life of your account, and deleting your account is the only way to erase it.
- Share links are public and immutable. Sharing a card publishes it to anyone who has the link, and a sent link cannot be individually unpublished. Deleting your account removes every card you shared.
Account deletion
You can delete your account in Settings inside the app. Deletion is permanent, cannot be undone, and does not cancel your subscription - cancel through Apple first.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse Talkspring: no breaking, probing, or overloading the service, no reverse-engineering the app beyond what law permits, no using another person's account, and no using the service to harass anyone or to break the law.
Not professional advice
Talkspring measures and scores speech patterns. It is not speech therapy, medical advice, or a diagnostic tool, and it is no substitute for a qualified professional.
Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the law of England and Wales, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
Beyond that: Talkspring is provided as-is. Scoring is automated and imperfect - transcription can mishear, and scores are estimates, not verdicts. We are not liable for losses that are not a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We provide Talkspring for personal use; we are not liable for business losses.
About Apple
You downloaded Talkspring from Apple's App Store, so Apple requires these acknowledgements:
- These terms are between you and Getor Solutions Limited only - not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
- Your licence to use the app is limited to a non-transferable licence to use it on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Usage Rules, except that the app may be accessed and used by other accounts associated with you via Family Sharing or volume purchasing.
- Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the app. We do: support@talkspring.app.
- If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price to you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app, and any other warranty claims are our responsibility.
- Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the app or your use of it, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, and claims under consumer protection or similar legislation.
- If a third party claims the app infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement, and discharge of that claim.
- You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- You must comply with any applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the app.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms, and on your acceptance, Apple has the right to enforce these terms against you.
Ending or changing the service
You can stop using Talkspring at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially break these terms. We may change these terms; if we do, we'll update this page and the effective date, and flag material changes in the app before they take effect. Continued use after a change takes effect means you accept it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes go to the courts of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your home nation's courts, and nothing here removes consumer rights you have under your local law.
